Why is formal education overrated in America?
I have a 4 year business degree in Business Marketing (BBA), but can’t find a job after applying for dozens and dozens of entry level marketing jobs because I don’t have any specific professional experience or I don’t know the right people. My teacher and counselor always told me that if you get a good education you won’t have to do clerical work for 20K a year like I am doing now. Why did they lie to me? I think I should have went to a trade school. Well rounded liberal arts education didn’t do a damn thing for me.
